Production internships in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of the Netherlands

At present, one of the important tasks is to train highly qualified agricultural specialists who are proficient in modern technologies. In this regard, combining students' theoretical knowledge with practical production experience and studying advanced foreign practices is of particular importance. In this context, the production internship undertaken by a group of students and teachers of S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute from September 19 to 26, 2026, in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of the Netherlands was highly productive.

During the internship, the participants had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the advanced production practices of leading global manufacturers of agricultural machinery. One of the main destinations of the trip was the John Deereagricultural machinery manufacturing facility located in Mannheim, Germany. There, the participants became familiar with modern tractor assembly technologies, the use of automated systems and robotics in production, as well as quality control and testing processes. They also received information about the operating principles of intelligent control systems and fuel-saving technologies.

The next stage of the production internship took place at a specialized John Deere facility in Horst, the Netherlands, which manufactures equipment for plant protection. The participants studied the design, production, and operational features of self-propelled and trailed sprayers. Particular attention was paid to modern technologies that ensure the precise application of fertilizers and plant protection products. The participants gained an understanding of the importance of such technological solutions in agriculture as GPS-based automatic guidance, row-by-row crop monitoring, and digital control of spraying systems.

The theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the production internship in Germany and the Netherlands contributed to improving the professional training of the students and expanding their understanding of the effective use of modern agricultural machinery. Studying and mastering advanced technologies with consideration of the agricultural conditions of our country is of great importance for developing the professional skills of future specialists.
