Strengthening the political, economic and cultural foundations of our country, activating the scientific and educational potential to bring the country to a new level of development is the strategic goal of the ongoing educational reforms. The accumulation of rich experience in mastering advanced teaching methods, information technologies, raising the level of education and creative activity of society in the country created favorable conditions for the implementation of educational reforms. The reforms carried out in the field of education have become the main condition for the priority direction of state policy, the system for harmonizing the national views and interests of each citizen, the accelerated socio-economic development of the country, the cultural and spiritual improvement of the population, and the Turkmen society. The transformations are aimed at creating a perfect form of the education system, and the creation of a model society is envisaged.

In order to properly implement educational reforms, from November 22, 2022, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute at the Faculty of Agronomy held a competition on the subject "Crop Production". The competition took place in two stages. In the first stage, students tested themselves by answering test questions on the topic, and in the second stage, they demonstrated their skills in solving problems related to agriculture. Among the students who took part in the competition, the best were selected. The students not only won the competition, but also showed knowledge based on their scores. The three winners with the most points took first, second and third place in the competition. The first place was taken by Mukhammedov Palvan, a 3rd year student majoring in Agrochemistry and Soil Science, the second place was won by Gulov Kadir, a 4th year student majoring in Agronomy, and the third place was taken by Khaitov Mergen, a 3rd year student majoring in Agrochemistry and Soil Science. The winners among the specialties were determined by the average score of students participating in the competition. Among the specialties, the first place was taken by the 4th year students in the specialty "Agronomy", the second place - by the 4th year students in the specialty "Breeding and seed production of agricultural crops", the third place - by the 4th year students in the specialty "Agroecology".

Such competitions, held in their free time, not only show the desire of students to know the theoretical basis of the subject well, but also contribute to increasing love for their profession, developing professional skills, and applying the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice.
