September 7th is International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies

Environmental protection and rational use of natural resources is one of the most important issues facing humanity. It is inextricably linked with the consequences of all human activities that contribute to air pollution.

On the occasion of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, a round table was held between teachers and students at the Department of Gardening and vegetable growing of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute. Through question and answer sessions on each scientific topic, students expanded their knowledge and views on nature conservation and climate change.

September 7 is International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. The goal of the day is to raise awareness and encourage action to improve air quality. It is a global challenge to find new ways to solve problems, reduce the amount of air pollution we cause, and ensure that everyone around the world has the right to breathe clean air.

Students who participated in the round table drew attention to and broadened their understanding of the need to step up efforts to improve air quality, including reducing air pollution to protect human health. Within the framework of the directions approved in the National Strategy on Climate Change, the National Forest Program of Turkmenistan and other large-scale socio-economic programs, a lot of work is being done to protect biological diversity and natural resources. In all parts of the country, forest zones with continuous planting of garden plants have been created. The implementation of large-scale programs in this area is a worthy contribution to global efforts to combat climate change.

Preservation of the beautiful nature of the Turkmen land, systematic use of water, land and biological resources, positive solutions to the problems of preventing air pollution ensure the protection of human health. The creation of parks and green areas, the expansion of their fields indicate that the ancient traditions of our people, living in harmony with nature, are successfully continuing.
