Fifth-year students majoring in Agroecology are successfully continuing their pre-graduation industrial internship in accordance with the approved academic curriculum. The internship takes place from February 9 to April 19, 2026, in various regions of the country within the Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats.
The main purpose of the industrial internship is to combine students’ theoretical knowledge with practical activities, as well as to develop professional skills in environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, and biodiversity conservation. Within this framework, students undertaking their internship at the Department of Environmental Protection of the Dashoguz Velayat closely familiarize themselves with ongoing nature conservation activities.
During the internship, the students visited the Adaptation Department of the Gaplangyr State Nature Reserve, where they became closely acquainted with the scientific and practical work being carried out. This department performs important work aimed at gradually adapting injured animals or animals raised in human care to their natural habitats, followed by their release into the wild.
During the visit, the students exchanged views with the reserve’s specialists and received detailed information about the specific measures taken to protect animals, restore their health, and reintroduce them to natural living conditions. Such meetings play an important role in gaining future professional experience for young specialists.
Currently, various animal species are kept in this department, including mountain goats, gazelles, hares, and different species of birds. The work carried out here is of great importance for preserving the country’s natural resources and increasing the population of wild fauna.
Such industrial internships broaden students’ ecological awareness and contribute to their development as highly qualified specialists in the field of nature conservation in the future.
