Fifth-year students majoring in Veterinary Medicine are undergoing industrial (professional) practice in accordance with the approved academic curricula. This practice is aimed not only at strengthening students’ theoretical knowledge, but also at improving the practical skills required for their future professional activities. The students complete their practice at the State Veterinary Service of the city of Dashoguz under the supervision of experienced specialists.
During this period, they become closely acquainted with the daily practical aspects of veterinary work. Industrial practice provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in conducting animal health examinations, carrying out treatment procedures, organizing preventive measures against infectious diseases, and complying with veterinary and sanitary regulations. In addition, students learn to identify the causes of emerging diseases, develop appropriate treatment measures, and make correct decisions in real production conditions.
Particularly significant was the research practice conducted in the bacteriological laboratory of the State Veterinary Service of the Dashoguz velayat. During this practice, students acquired skills in conducting bacteriological studies of microorganisms, mastered laboratory diagnostic methods for diseases, learned to develop treatment and prevention plans based on obtained results, and gained experience in using laboratory equipment. Such practical training promotes the application of acquired theoretical knowledge in real working environments, the development of scientific and analytical thinking, and adaptation to various workplace situations.
The students’ production practice is an important stage aimed at preparing responsible, competent, and modern veterinary doctors for the future. Such training not only strengthens students’ professional knowledge, but also contributes to the preparation of highly qualified young specialists who will help advance the development of animal husbandry and agriculture in our country.
