Guided by the efforts of our Esteemed President to provide modern education to the younger generation and develop science, the “GeoGIS” scientific club of the Department of Agricultural Land Reclamation at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute held a test competition titled “Foundations of Meteorology” on March 31, 2026, on the occasion of World Meteorological Day. The competition was organized to increase students’ interest in atmospheric phenomena, weather forecasting, and hydrometeorology, as well as to test their theoretical and practical knowledge.
During the competition, students demonstrated their skills in modern issues of meteorology, atmospheric physics, and the scientific basis of climate change. This is a practical celebration of the state policy aimed at improving the country’s science and education system and training highly qualified specialists who are proficient in modern technologies and meet international standards. In the future, the regular holding of such competitions will contribute to the formation of young meteorologists and further strengthen the scientific potential of Turkmenistan.
As a result of the intense test competition, the following students stood out with their profound knowledge and accurate calculations and became winners: D.Myratgeldiyeva, a 2nd-year student of the “Agroecology” specialty; J.Nurmyradov, a 3rd-year student of the “Land Management and Cadastres” direction; E.Seyitmuhammedowa, a 1st-year student of the “Greenhouse Management” specialty; and R.Miriyeva, a 2nd-year student of the “Greenhouse Management” specialty. The winners and active participants of the competition were awarded Certificates of Honor.
The participants expressed their deep gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President, who create broad opportunities for the youth to be well-educated and become specialists meeting world standards.
