Students of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, studying in the field of “Hydraulic Engineering Structures” and the specialty of “Hydromelioration,” became closely acquainted with the activities of the “Dashoguzsuwhojalyk” production association during their industrial internship. This practice served as an important stage in strengthening their theoretical knowledge through practical application. The large-scale work carried out at the enterprise, the use of modern equipment, and the high level of organization made a strong impression on the students.
In particular, the work carried out in the irrigation system of the Shasenem farms, which originates from the Turkmen River, was especially impactful for the students. Familiarity with the processes of cleaning irrigation canals and increasing their water-carrying capacity significantly enriched the students’ professional understanding. Observing improvements in water supply to agricultural lands further increased their interest in their chosen field.
During the internship, the students also thoroughly studied one of the modern machines – the CSD350 suction dredger, which was recently acquired for the country. They gained detailed knowledge about its structure, operating principles, and functional features, as well as its role in production processes. The students were introduced to the technical specifications of the equipment, its productivity capacity, its ability to operate at various depths, and the features of its sediment removal system. It was emphasized that the efficient use of this equipment plays a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning of water management facilities.
The students observed that the CSD350 dredger is highly effective in removing sediment accumulated at the bottom of rivers and canals. They acquired initial practical skills in organizing and managing its operation, as well as in improving its efficiency. In addition, they gained a comprehensive understanding of the technical maintenance requirements, safety regulations, and operational procedures necessary for its reliable and uninterrupted performance.
Furthermore, the students paid special attention to the importance of using this equipment in increasing water flow capacity and improving the meliorative condition of lands. This is one of the key factors in enhancing the efficiency of agricultural production. Observing how theoretical knowledge is applied in real production conditions had a positive impact on their professional development.
In general, industrial internship plays a significant role in strengthening students’ knowledge, developing their practical skills, and preparing them for their future professional careers. The experience gained during this period serves as a solid foundation for becoming highly qualified specialists.
