“BOOK MARATHON” HELD AMONG STUDENT YOUTH

Based on the wise initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, as stated in his book “The Meaning of My Life – Continuation”: “Every year in September, we declare a month of road safety, and we have all witnessed its great effectiveness. Similarly, it would be most appropriate to declare a month of book reading in our country every year”, a creative competition was organized by the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in collaboration with the Dashoguz Regional Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. The competition, titled “Book Marathon”, was timed to coincide with the proclamation of 2026 as the year “Turkmenistan - the Land of Swift Horses”, as well as the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse. The marathon was held among students of the institute from March 25 to April 24, 2026, and focused on the artistic reading of Hero-Arkadag’s books: “The Ahal-Teke Horse - Our Pride and Glory”, “Horse – a symbol of loyalty and happiness” and “Swift step of race horse”. The competition consisted of four stages. In each stage, participants were given test questions based on the extensive information about Turkmen horses presented in the works of Hero Arkadag. The results of the competition were finalized on the eve of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse. According to the results, the following students were awarded I Place Ayna Badakova 2nd year student, “Greenhouse Management”, II Place Durli Arazmyradova 2nd year student, “Accounting and Auditing in Agriculture”, II Place Shohrat Mergenov 2nd year student, “Accounting and Auditing in Agriculture”, III Place Merjen Garlyyeva 2nd year student, “Digital Management in Agriculture”, III Place Guljemal Saparova 2nd year student, “Digital Management in Agriculture”, III Place Roza Miriyeva 2nd year student, “Greenhouse Management”.

The winners were presented with Certificates of Honor and commemorative gifts on behalf of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute and the Dashoguz regional Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
