The turkmen horse – a symbol of national pride and progress

During the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, under the wise leadership of Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, special attention is paid to the scientific study of Akhal-Teke horses-the national pride and “wings” of our people-and to further enhancing their global renown. The scientific-practical conference titled “The Turkmen Horse is the National Pride of Our People,” organized by the Turkmen Agricultural Institute and dedicated to the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, was of great significance in revealing the historical roots and modern developments of the nation’s equestrian art. During the conference, with reference to the valuable works of our Hero Arkadag and the Honorable President regarding horses, it was specially emphasized that Akhal-Teke horses are not only a national heritage but also a high symbol of the creative power, noble traditions, and diligent labor of the Turkmen people.

One of the most important directions of the conference was the significance of equestrian sports and hippotherapy in enriching the spiritual world of the younger generation, awakening feelings of patriotism in their hearts, and teaching the secrets of the school of horse training (the art of seyis), inherited from our ancestors. This scientific conference, held with the active participation of professors, teachers, and student youth, became a clear proof that the science of horse breeding in our country has reached new heights and that the continuity of our national values remains steadfast.
